It’s great that bigger indie companies fill the iCloud void with Panic Sync, Omni Sync, etc. But also pretty depressing that they have to.

@danielpunkass The real issue with iCloud is it just doesn’t work well for key value storage. While .Mac sync worked perfectly.

@willco007 Oh really? I have always heard that it does work well for key value storage, but maybe that’s only when compared to Core Data :) -
@danielpunkass Core Data is supposed to ‘just work’ but it doesn’t. That’s why last WWDC they only focused on iCloud bug fixes with it. -
@danielpunkass I should clarify, the prefs key value store seems to be well thought out & as far as I know works. The problem is data files. - View other replies
