It’s hard to see how investigators “exhausted” other means before seizing this reporter’s phone and email records. DOJ knew the identity of the Senate staffer under investigation. Surely got records of their comms from him. Taking hers may expose many non-pertinent sources. 1/1

Comment: New York Times journalist should be supported. Like Watkins, WikiLeaks journalists had their personal email accounts seized by the FBI with overly broad warrants. Using every connection to bring the public the truth? That's the job.

The seizure of reporters' emails/telecommunications records by the Trump DoJ is the inevitable consequence (as we warned) of tolerating Obama's sezure of three reporters' email accounts (which did not disclose any sources--of course!) and AP's phone records.

Just got a statement from the lawyers of former Cambridge Analytica employee Brittany Kaiser, who say they are filing a formal complain against The Guardian for its story on her Feb. 2017 meeting with Julian Assange.

Interesting interview with human rights campaigner, rich detail on the UK government's ~$30m operation to monitor Assange "Operation Kudo" (in perspective: double the Mueller investigation spend of $17m)
