I’m justifying a harmless piece of plastic sitting in a pouch in a trans child’s pants because it helps alleviate their dysphoria. This has to do with gender identity which the other person seemed to confuse with gender expression. I can stay on topic AND multitask.
It’s not restricting. Gender stereotypes have nothing to do with gender identity. Not all trans people even pack. Why does it affect you?
There is no such thing as a 'trans child' What there is is a collection of 'trans adults' projecting their own unresolved sexual identity crisis onto their poor unfortunate kids and,in turn, creating an intergenerational crisis for years to come...pic.twitter.com/2bz2nIsTyj
Trans adults were children once. They were just as trans then as they are now. Nice photo array that has nothing to do with the topic though.
Here’s a question. How do you even define gender dysphoria vs pretend play in a preschooler? How can you tell the difference?
Because dysphoria is an extended feeling of discomfort from being addressed and perceived as a gender you are not. Playing pretend is a choice that’s dropped when it’s snack time.
Alternatively, a) it’s far from harmless b) it increases & embeds anxiety c) it risks fixating a young mind on gender & identity issues it would likely otherwise move beyond.
It increases anxiety? Really?
Wearing a packer isn’t fixation. It’s a device used to alleviate dysphoria. It’s comparable to a bra.
