Many people seem not to realize the difference between a red state dem and a blue state dem. While yes they are still Democrats they will tend to lean more to the right and try to represent their constituents. Or at least that's how I have come to see it as of late. /2

The purity tests people are putting out there for dems is harmful. Whether they are more or less progressive, right now we need them in seats that Rs might be gunning for.

@jacksnowknows How do you respond to the question, “If [moderate Democrats] don’t vote with us, what good are they?”pic.twitter.com/CIhzgkXr6M

I think we need to keep in mind @JoeManchinVW doesn’t answer to the people of CA or NY or any other liberal state. Only WV gets to decide if he stays or goes. If you think about it, the reason we’re pissed at GOP is because they’re unresponsive, if not outright contemptuous.

Majorities are awarded to the party with the most members, not with the purest members. Having Manchin vote with us 90% of the time would be great, but someone BESIDES McConnell deciding who chairs committees & whether a confirmation goes to the Senate floor would

I think it's no coincidence that a number of things hit us all at once, but in truth we should have expected it. The polls flipped - likely an outlier - right around the same time Kavanaugh was confirmed. Suddenly it feels like we're about to lose.

But we're not. We've done the work & we're still doing it. It's stressful and the uncertainty can wear on us. It's then that we need to lean on each other and be there for each other. Flip the narrative, like we did when Grassley, McConnell and Trump all gave the same message

It was a rare moment of unity between McConnell and Trump & the troll farms picked up on that, so we were hit by a lot all at once. This is going to happen again over the next few weeks. Be prepared. /End

Mitch McConnell is the human embodiment of a botched circumcision.
