A lot of Germans who supported the Nazis in the '30s and '40s would claim they didn't support genocide. It's not what made the Nazis popular, and the idea that that is where the line is drawn doesn't mean anything.
In fact, the Nazis tried to hide the truth about what was going on in their concentration camps, even from their supporters. Fascism is lies upon lies upon lies. There is no bright line. Any support for Nazis is too much.
Seems like one worthwhile question is why "executive power and the imperial presidency" stopped being a topic worthy of his time in January 2017
