    I also believe a lot of the "self-care" stuff is capitalist propaganda that reinforces individualism. There's not nearly enough messaging about care in a communal or familial sense. It's all about you, what you do in isolation, and how you satisfy yourself.

    The issue of access to land & housing is fundamental to white settler colonialism. That’s why there’s so much homelessness in a nation with a surplus housing supply. Constantly displacing ppl from their homes & land, forcing them into oppressive poverty, is how the US began.

    🚨 There is no eviction moratorium active in New York State right now! 🚨 ICYMI: The Supreme Court just struck down the Federal moratorium after the Supreme Court suspended our State moratorium on August 12th. This means hardship declarations are no longer valid. (1/3)

    The conditions on Rikers are atrocious & SBKMA is working to fundraise to bring home a community member being held on a small cash bail of $1K. All extra funds will be used to work to free more people & support them on the outside.
