i just want to make a 3d model real quick but i end up figuring out how to debug the linux kernel infrastructure for direct rendering. why do these things keep happening to me

video memory leaks are great because this leak is something like 10 GB per at most 5000 frames but it doesn't show up in any of the tools i am aware of

see the thing is... if I switch mesa to use llvmpipe-based software rendering the leak disappears. so this isn't a gl leak. this is an i965 driver memory leak. i am guessing it keeps references to some gem buffers somehow, which also means i can't use kmemleak
