I'm pretty sure the IARC classification does more harm than good today, given how journalists always go "omg cancer" and never look into the actual risk. isn't the fault of the scientists who came up with it but we should retire it anyway.

Oxygen is the big problem. A group 1 carcinogen and so much more. We unfairly label simple substances like hydrogen as flammable when it is really the oxidizers that are dangerous. When will we come to our senses and clean up this Superfund planet?
