my favorite IARC Group I carcinogen is estradiol. the risk is dose-dependent and well demonstrated, so obviously we should make mass sterilization a public health priority. not

I'm pretty sure the IARC classification does more harm than good today, given how journalists always go "omg cancer" and never look into the actual risk. isn't the fault of the scientists who came up with it but we should retire it anyway.

The more things you put cancer warnings on, the less people will pay attention to them - it'll just look like everything causes cancer.

alert fatigue is a different, although related, issue than what's listed here. adding an IARC Group 1 warning on alcohol is essentially lying
