While you’re at it, please just make all cables with that connector capabale of all Thunderbolt 3, USB 3, and charging modes. It should not take a Ph.D to buy a friggin cable.

the PD controller in the USB device is called "SOP" in the spec, the one in proximate plug is "SOP-prime" and in the distal plug is "SOP-prime-prime". "SOP" means "start of packet"
