While you’re at it, please just make all cables with that connector capabale of all Thunderbolt 3, USB 3, and charging modes. It should not take a Ph.D to buy a friggin cable.

Apple remarked with their own p/n, reverse-engineering the adapter and its test points, dumping and reverse-engineering the adapter firmware, obtaining vendor tools for USB C controllers that are for some reason export-controlled and you can't just download them or the docs,

did you know that literally every Thunderbolt 3 design is one of like a dozen designs that Intel made and decided that these are permissible. everything else doesn't pass Intel certification. i'll say it again, every single TBT3 device is designed by Intel.
