      ??? Retweeted ???

Still looking for ideas here. Is there anyone who has tried powering one of these using a non-factory supply before? The tech manual is unfortunately quite light on technical details about the board in generalhttps://twitter.com/protosphere_/status/1043736890288091136 …

"PG" is "power good", "K" is "key" (missing pin right?), "5S" might be "5V standby" but not sure what "5R" is, so they both might be something i don't know

Given that this is an XT-class machine I doubt the 5S is standby(?) The other two seem sensible though.

5R seems to be routed to RESET on the ISA slots

So I guess the power-on-reset is in the PSU or something perhaps..?

As for 5S, I can’t really tell, as there’s nothing connected to it on the board that I can see. PG also eventually disappears into another layer I can’t see.

try lighting up the inner layers with a powerful flashlight, you can sort of trace them. that or a multimeter, though the latter is more annoying

Well that was easy and I’m silly for not thinking about this before: 5S and +5 are just connected together
