Tell that to people with internet connections that are sub 10Mbps average. There’s nothing worse than pulling down 10s of megabytes of js/css that doesn’t have any relevance to the actual content you wanted from the site. Bring back gopher imho.

This isn't about size of webpages on the wire, but rather about RAM consumption of browsers. The Google keyboard app does not take 150 MB on the wire.
