i was explaining to someone here how the drivers on this 3d printer are pieces of junk designed in blatant violation of most vendor guidelines and only 30 minutes later one of them dies mid-print thanks for validation but im not looking forward to redoing this board properly

Let me guess? all signal pins are tin plated? no gold? Screwed connectors. In a vibrating environment... Even if it would work longer than 30 minutes, it will eventually fail. Either burn or cause really random errors (Which will momnetarily fix by reconnecting wires/boards)

You may have better luck turning CD/DVD readers into CNC machines and 3D printers. There is a couple of tutorials on how to do it out there, good luck! ^^
