nRF24L01 has a mode where it just transmits its carrier (for compliance reasons) so i wondered how much it's going to drift. the answer is very very little. it's supposed to be at 2.454, so it's off by 40 ppm, but firmly in placepic.twitter.com/8t6rTWHqkG

the question is. the datasheet, in no uncertain terms, tells that it must never transmit for more than 4 ms. the PLL_LOCK bit is documented as "Only used in test." why? it makes the device much more useful. /cc

okay, i have a really fascinating question here the datasheet for nRF24L01(+) says that it under no circumstances can transmit at 100% duty cycle, because it unlocks TX PLL when it starts transmitting (left) it also has a bit called PLL_LOCK that makes it not do that (right);pic.twitter.com/3GB2ir3rwH
