It’s a good and interesting read (it is definitely worth reading to get this whole “incel” thing) but felt the language felt very generalizing. I just wish they iterated a bit “not all guys fall down this path, and a lot actually overcome this through X.” But that’s just me

I was always taught to never generalize. Incels really need to go talk to someone outside their echo chamber (which is a huge issue that allows them and other terrible ideologies to flourish) and realize just how ridiculous it all is

I didn't even get swept up into a community of it but I shared most of those attitudes (able to more subtly) during my teenage years. Women were seen as either angels or objects, there to save me or to be used. I think it goes beyond the echo chambers, and that's the scary part.

Of course I'm limited here to Twitter format but you're right about not all guys necessarily falling into that mentality. Also yes to echo chambers and dangerous ideologies. That's the world we live in...
