A lot of quiet conversations among conservative thought leaders today about how to prepare for a “post Trump” Republican Party—whether its impeachment or a loss in 2020. People thinking about how that shakes out and where they fit. This is not good for Trump.

It’s not good for them, either, if they’ve waited THIS LONG to think about it. They deserve whatever misery is coming...

I'm not sure they recover. They were already fighting their losing demographics and Trump has only made that worse by pushing minorities and the youth away from the party. Any Republican in power will be confronted with their pro trump statements in every election they have.

It will be Nikki Haley’s world. Let her lead and get in line.

Nikki Haley is nothing but a media creation. The thought that the same voters who gave the GOP Trump will ever back Haley at large is hilarious.

If there’s one thing Trump’s election taught us, it’s that “conservative thought leaders” are largely irrelevant except as spokesmen for whoever runs the GOP. As Trump does now.
