When government officials including the President...attempt to restrict, curtail, intimidate or silence the press...the rights of the people & the press as guaranteed by the 1st Amendment are infringed and our democratic form of government is in jeopardy.

Four years ago today January 17, 2016. So much has happened since. Some of it great, a lot of it not, most of it somewhere in between. There are only two things of which I’m certain: 1. I love my wife ⁦⁩ very much, and 2. I miss my prison body.

As a former Hill reporter myself (and successor to the esteemed as editor), I too am disappointed by these restrictions. It’s a troubling erosion in access at a historic moment. The public loses out.
