Not disagreeing that it probably is a factor. I think the existence of these groups at all is indicative of a systemic problem. I'm also think some intuitive reactions to these people are counter productive to dealing with them.

Do you think it's reactionary to say that they deserve to get their asses beat in retaliation for their own violence? I'm afraid I do think that narcissists need some sense pounded into them when they beat or rape others & these man-babies fall into that category.

It's because they have no inner voice that tells them that other people are as equally important as themselves. So they need other people to show them how defective their behaviors and violence is viewed.

I think the actions should be treated the way that we treat other actions. Break up their meetings, stop them from harassing people, etc. But allowing them to be bullied doesn’t help. It’s hard to resist, I admit. They are low hanging fruit.
