I don't agree with you promoting this private company with a strong sales team. Have @Glos_Police paid for this service? Do they think locking the pubilc in to this service for emergency response is a good idea?https://shkspr.mobi/blog/2019/03/why-bother-with-what-three-words/ …

My son used W3W to guide road and air ambulances to a concussed cyclist hidden on Minchinhampton Common, earlier this summer. The cyclist and my son think the app is fantastic.

It's great that they helped someone out, I'm sure the cyclist was grateful! The app wasn't the only way of directing emergency services though, and those services had to pay the company to translate their system in to lat/long positions, that your son could have used all along.

what3words does not charge UK emergency services to use the system and our app is free for all.

But the system is proprietary and there is nothing stopping you charging. We have open, free systems already that don't lock people in to your company

The @what3words system is free and easy to use for those not familiar with lat/long. Anything that makes helping others an easier and more accessible task is a win in our book.
