GPs/DNs (in rural areas, or with sprawling illogically-numbered housing estates on your patch): do install @what3words on your phone... you may know where Mrs Jones lives, but the next HCPs in line - who you’ve asked to review her - don’t! 😉pic.twitter.com/kodkZ2G9Tw

How is it better then using the NG reference that most people already know how to read from OS maps?

Because most people aren't routinely carrying OS maps?

Becareful what3words can put your on the wrong side of a river for example. Nearly all postcodes it is possible to walk (not always drive) between all properties in the postcode without leaving the postcode.

Um...no it can't. If you give an address on the wrong side of the river, you have made an error.

The area that is defined by the 3words can have a river down the middle of it. Eg the app can give the same 3words on both sides of the river unless the river is very wide.

A what3words address defines an area of three meters by three meters.

Not when the GPS in a persons phone is +-10m, and often much worce.

Lol. Perhaps give a 3 word address that is 10m away from the river...it will still be more precise than a postcode (in this highly spurious example).
