From a police perspective, yes we do. It’s integrated with our C&C system to give a location. I’m a die hard map and grid ref sort of person so took a while to come round to W3W, thinking there was nothing wrong with promoting OS Grid Finder app etc.

However there’s something simple about W3W in terms of it just being three words, no long incomprehensible numbers, no associations with not being able to understand grids, and a good marketing machine - it’s captures public imagination, and it’s here to stay, so need to embrace.

I find it easier to hear and enter 2 sets of distinct numbers than 3 obscure words that have to be spelt right first time I was given a w3w location over the radio, misheard 'craven' as 'raven', ended up looking at a map of norway

Hi @BenedictAshton, we intentionally put similar sounding words far apart to make errors more obvious and so the system can suggest a more appropriate combination. It can be very difficult to spot errors when communicating GPS coordinates.pic.twitter.com/96YeqHR6Yd
