I give you that. I’d assume the current city or add „Austin, Texas“. Is that the reason why you find it easier, two words less?

True. Though even in cities there are duplicates & similar sounding roads. For example there are 14 Church Roads in London, and "241st Street" sounds a lot like "240 1st Street" when talking to your sat nat.
