Automatic Mobile Location (AML) is even better because a smart phone sends its GPS coordinates directly into the 999 system when the call is made. Our Control room have tested it and it's incredibly accurate.

Hopefully they all have upgrades planned though. W3W is a good system but they charge services a lot for integration as far as I know. Most are going down the route of using W3W manually for now and integrating AML.
