Hi John, map pins work well sometimes, but can be problematic if you want to pass them on, say them over the phone, fill in an online form or write them down. what3words is as accurate but easier to communicate & more flexible across channels. Sent from filled.count.soap

I mean if you want a truly universal system you can write into a form just use lat/long. And you can’t read someone a w3w without the likelihood of error. My w3w location includes the word “line,” substituting the near-homophone “lion” gives a completely different place.

Hi John, the same communication challenges exist with lat/long. A key feature of what3words is that similar words are placed far apart.
