Joint Fire Control staff have tonight used @what3words app, to successfully locate a caller who was reporting a fire and did not know where they were. We were able to send @ShirebrookFire to the right location.

Hi Mark, the system works without data or cellular coverage. It uses a GPS signal to get coordinates and converts them on the handset.
