Correct me if I'm wrong but if someone is able to generate one of your 3WA & is also capable of communicating it to emergency services in a timely manner could they not instead have more easily texted a Google map link or similar?

I did a NZ ambulance CPR course recently, and one of the elderly ladies attending mentioned 3WA as a method of giving a position, but the ambulance staff had never heard of it. I showed them on my Open Street Maps app. I don't believe Google maps supports 3WA..?

Can't the dispatch just ping the phone? Seems redundant and time intensive. I don't know where I am, I have to download an app, hope location services are on....

Triangulating phones needs at least two cell towers to be close enough. The app will make sure location services are on I'm sure.
