  3. 3pm - It's about 15-20° cooler than yesterday, but just as beautiful! How's your Sunday going?

  4. Anyone not ready for winter to end? You make like the end of this week and next weekend! A pattern shift looks likely with a return of below normal temps this Friday into early next week. Just how cool remains in question. Stay tuned!

  5. Actually a pretty typical February forecast...it gets warm, it gets cold, it may rain. A little bit of everything!

  6. Did you know it was windy yesterday? The strongest gust came at DFW Airport, which was as strong as a severe thunderstorm just without the thunderstorm. That wind also brought in a lot of dust from West Texas, which you may have noticed the hazy/dusty sky yesterday evening.

  7. After one of the windiest days in recent memory yesterday, today will still be breezy, but NOTHING like yesterday.

  8. 7:30AM - Much colder this morning than yesterday. The chill is back! Even though the breeze is not as strong as yesterday, there is still enough of a breeze to make it feel like close to freezing in most places this morning. Stay warm!

  9. Morning! Today will be breezy, but winds will not be nearly as strong as yesterday. Even with a good deal of sunshine, highs will be around 20° cooler today in the 50s. But that is also much closer to normal for this time of year.

  10. Grab a coat as you head out the door in the morning because it will be much cooler than today. It will still be windy as well, so expect it to feel like the lower to middle 30s when you wake up tomorrow.

Check this out! What you are seeing here on our satellite imagery is a large dust storm moving into the western parts of North Texas! This is because of the strong winds behind the front combined with dry conditions out west.

REST OF THIS WEEKEND: Warm and very windy today (Wind Advisory thru 6pm for wind gusts 40mph or higher). Breezy and much cooler tomorrow even with a good deal of sunshine. Highs only in the 50s, but that is actually close to normal for this point in the winter.

It may be warm today, but cooler temps will return! In fact, as soon as tomorrow it will be back to normal or even below normal. Another warm-up happens next week before a stretch of below normal temps returns late week into next weekend.

When will the sunshine arrive? For western NTX, it's already here! For DFW, between now and noon. For eastern NTX, noon thru early afternoon. Winds really increase once sunshine breaks out, and temps warm into the 70s for highs later today.

I guarantee you'll be talking about the wind today! A Wind Advisory is in place until 6pm this evening because winds from the west/southwest will likely gust 40-50mph especially from late morning thru mid-afternoon. You've been warned!
