@rustembedded are there any MCUs/boards with Wi-Fi that are well supported by (stable) Rust? I know it's _possible_ to target ESP32 but that seems to be quite experimental still.

Since ARM is fairly well supported on Rust, I guess that this could stand a better chance than Xtensa & esp-idf: https://www.cnx-software.com/2020/05/20/ameba-rtl8722dm-cortex-m33-m23-iot-development-board/ … ... but no confirmed support nor endorsement here, unfortunately :/

Yeah, look, probably go with ARM , and then bolt an ESP or ATWINC or similar on the side for WiFi. (The newer Adafruit Feather WiFi boards do this)

Yep and in any case a much bigger task is getting the esp-idf functions you need mapped into Rust.
