macOS actually has two Telegram clients - the one you're mentioning (the Qt one) and a true native Cocoa one.

it sucks though that, by virtue of being Qt, it feels out of place on every platform. I tried using it on Windows and it just wasn't a good experience. (That being said, I'd much prefer it to a webview!)

Seems ok on Linux — I mean it doesn’t look like a GNOME or KDE app but none of these chat apps do (except maybe Fractal).

I actually like web apps but I think it should stay in the browser. Having one browser shipped per application sounds way too heavy imo
