Managed to build @CrystalLanguage on @VoidLinux (musl) with the statically linked Alpine Linux binary yesterday. @musllibc life isn’t always straightforward but thanks to the hard work of the @alpinelinux folks it’s usually doable.

My understanding is Go does it by making syscalls to the kernel directly and not relying on libc. I think that Crystal does what Rust does and statically links a libc that supports static linking: musl

Yes, same as Rust, but ultimately, it’s a single binary that gets output, right? One that contains the musl library.
