On MacOS, as everywhere, I stick to defaults. Default bells and whistles. :)

I concur. :)

CopyQ for decent clipboard management, a Brewfile for easy migration between machines. Also Karabiner Elements (with a Hyper key and shortcut to switch to each app), Spectacle, HyperSwitch, Kitty (terminal), Time Out (taking breaks), Stay (multi-monitor), Hammerspoon.
-
You can use Stay to get a single terminal that spans two monitors, allows you to use tmux etc nicely.

I used to use Launchbar heavily and always had iStat Menus running, but nowadays I stick to the defaults and try to install as little as possible „I can‘t live without“. Simpler in the long run for me. Also, Spotlight as an Application Launcher has become buch better.
