Overall i found this article interesting. I think the electron issue is really with Google though. Chromium only officially supporting the big 3 (win, mac, linux) makes it difficult to port derivative apps or to even have a browser now that people will use on other platforms.

Great posts. Quick question though. So you went from FreeBSD to Arch to Elementary OS and so now you are running elementary OS with Awesome as the window manager? or is it Arch + Awesome?

On my desktop system I went elementary to Arch to FreeBSD back to Arch. My laptop has always just been Arch.
