When you test locally, do you use a test snapshot of production data ? What confuses me when reading about Docker is that reproducibility and location independence are celebrated but functionality is actually always tied to snowflake storage - thus negating much of the benefits.
I may be misunderstanding. The volumes are only for things that need to persist and are mapped to specific paths in the container (not the whole file system). I have them for PostgreSQL, certs, static sites, and SyncThing. The rest of each container file system is ephemeral.
