Does this mean you added bitmap support (I ran out of time to add it for my project before http://linux.conf.au )?
Embedded graphics has had support for (monochrome) bitmaps for a while. Sorry if that wasn't clear or if you couldn't find the docs/examples! Do (did) you need something that e-g currently doesn't support?
Ahh cool, it sure how I missed that. I would have needed tri-colour bitmap support for my red/black/white epaper display
I mistyped there; e-g supports 1, 8 and 16BPP images so with a bit of driver work that should be pretty easy to support. Presumably you're talking about https://crates.io/crates/ssd1675 ? Image8BPP (https://docs.rs/embedded-graphics/0.4.6/embedded_graphics/image/struct.Image8BPP.html …) might work for that display.
8 bits per pixel is a bit overkill assuming that display uses what, 2BPP for 3 colour support? I'm wondering how useful something like `Image2BPP` would be...
Yes that’s the display/controller. Wasted space wouldn’t be an issue for my Linux use case but I can imagine 2BPP being useful on a μC
