  3. Alberta pension fund management corporation AIMCo is also funding colonial violence by investing in alongside - take action now to expose their complicity

Large title/text reads What is AIMCo? in capital letters on a light blue, sparkley background. Text below reads "AIMCo, an investment firm based in Alberta, recently purchased a majority stake in Coastal GasLink Pipeline. AIMCo manages most pensions of unionized health care, education and public sector workers across Alberta. If that sounds like you, then you are well-positioned to push back against AIMCo's most recent purchase of Coastal GasLink - a purchase that is both financially unstable and in violation of Indigenous sovereignty. Use this email tool to send an email to your union representative urging them to divest your pension from Coastal GasLink. https://act.newmode.net/action/leap/divest-aimco
Title reads "AIMco's Coastal GasLink purchase is a risky financial investment" on a background of coins. Text below reads "The LNG industry has been in decline for the past ten years. Just a few months ago, prices on the international market were as low as $11 USD per the LNG equivalent of a barrel of oil. AIMCo’s investment strategy has received tremendous criticism from pension holders and asset management experts, and has led to a recent loss of 2.1 billion dollars. Use this email tool to send an email to your union representative urging them to divest your pension from Coastal GasLink. https://act.newmode.net/action/leap/divest-aimco"
On a dark green background reading "Wet'suet'en Solidarity", a title reads "AIMCo's Coastal GasLink investment violates Wet'suwet'en sovereignty." The text below reads "Wet'suwet'en Hereditary Chiefs have jurisdiction over all 22 000 km of their territories, and oppose Coastal GasLink building a pipeline through these lands. Removing your pension from Coastal GasLink helps pushback on this ongoing colonial occupation. Email your union representative to make this happen here: https://act.newmode.net/action/leap/divest-aimco
On a green forest-y background, a title reads "AIMCo's investment in Coastal GasLink will push the world closer to climate catastrophe." The paragraph below reads "Liquid natural gas (LNG) is removed from the earth through a process called fracking. Fracking is harmful because it uses a lot of water (about nine Olympic sized swimming pools) and contaminates the water used. It also releases methane which is a harmful greenhouse gas detrimental to our climate.
The Coastal GasLink Pipeline is expected to increase greenhouse gas emissions and become one of Canada's biggest emitters. This is a devastating fact especially as scientists are warning us to leave all current fossil fuels in the ground to mitigate climate change. Use this email tool to send an email to your union representative urging them to divest your pension from Coastal GasLink. https://act.newmode.net/action/leap/divest-aimco"

OPP are doing laps over the camp. This is one example of the high level of surveillance we're experiencing. Public funds are wasted on helicopters to surveil us on our land. The province is prioritizing settler claims to land over our right to exist in our homelands
