you know how we track citation counts and stuff? sort of wild that we don't even really have a rough way to track things like "how often is this paper taught" let alone "did this teaching resource so-and-so made get used by others"

A long time ago I created a tool that would scrape syllabi from our university book store website as well as the course code and stuff and then parse out the titles of the books, and then find it on openlibrary. It's do-able if the data is there, even in an unstructured form
