are mini fans doomed to fail? :( I've owned two and both broke ridiculously quickly

two things: if you connect it to something that outputs higher voltage, the fan will spin faster than it's supposed to and burn out, and also they're often poorly protected from humidity and dust which corrodes stuff inside it (I've opened one up before and it was gross)
