This is what gets me about criticism of evolutionary psych. Sure, there’s a lot of Just So stories out there; heavy skepticism is warranted. But the field as a whole seems important. How can we study psychology without thinking about the single most shaper of the human brain?

It's not necessarily a bad idea but evo psych as it stands is built on faulty assumptions such as modularity of mind ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modularit ). So it would take starting over from scratch basically in order to salvage anything
