I wouldn't be surprised if the #heatwave resulted in a lot more problems with the electrical grid. Not just because of AC, but also the fact that transmission lines apparently aren't designed to cope with 30C temps for long.

Plus there's a compounding effect where more AC draws more power which causes power lines to heat up even quicker and fail even quicker.
