The emerging dominance of this framing is so concerning. For instance, the notion that symptoms in "Chronic Lyme" or fibromyalgia may be driven by neuropsychiatric factors, inclusive of psychosocial strain, for some patients is not "dismissal."

I don't understand where these people get the idea that abnormal psychology uses itself to "dismiss" problems because I don't think it's psychologists that do that. Maybe some psychiatrists are bad doctors and do. I often think a lot of people get them confused.
