This actually seems like a nice feature except for the shitty UX. Why not let the user decide to share a fd to the clipboard, i.e. a capability without giving unrestricted access to the clipboard in general

My use case is dragging URLs onto the desktop, which I use instead of bookmarking or tabs for certain one-shot "look at later" cases.

Yeah I guess the part that confuses me is how that could possibly grant unrestricted write privileges. I'm trying to imagine how bad the windows API is that you can't do this safely
