One of the most dangerous and completely baseless myths that has been circulating in tech is that frontend work is somehow easy or less than other aspects of software engineering. It's hard and challenging work, please stop doing this.

I have never ever understood this. A frontend needs to paint a whole damn screen every 16ms, on lots of devices, many of which are terrible. Common gestures require firing a ray all the way through the stack, from pixel to model, changing it, and redrawing (16ms!). Ofc it's hard.

At least as hard as any other type of GUI programming, if not harder because of the weird APIs and incompatibilities
