I've been banging my head on this for hours and am turning to the Twitterverse for help. Anyone know of a good way to detect errors / failure to load webpage in an iframe?

I think what you're doing is trying to measure how long it took to load right?

I don't care how long it takes to load, I need to know if the iframe loaded the required webpage or not. So if there's a server error or a network error, I can show a nice error state. This might help, though, thanks!

the thing is, I think the "load" event only triggers if it ever loads, I'm not sure if it will still trigger if it got an error code (400, 500, etc), and if it never completes loading then you would only know based on the fact that you never get a "load" event from it
