Our batteries lasted 2.5 months, and they are a good brand. But stages 5 and 6 have nailed them. We have to take money out the bond and get lithium. No choice, we both work from home 😞.

This is nothing. In a few more months all the batteries in these inverters will stop working. The market is flooded with inferior batteries not designed for stage 4 loadshedding. The deep cycle batteries in these inverters will last max 6 months. 3k gone.

Most inverters from China are not designed to handle 50% & up humidity. I have seen a few brands that clearly stated on their manuals that the product is not fit for coastal areas installations.

Warning: There is corruption even with legitimate Electrical Contractors Association COC Certificates. We bought a house with a COC signed by the ECA's technical director. The electricity wasn't even on. The breakers didn't work. None of the circuits were compliant.

I'm on connect that runs on network that uses towers. I never get a signal during load shedding in the Strand, Gustrouw area. No one takes responsibility. We receive MTN and Vodacom signals quite fine during load shedding.

I’ve dealt with so many of these “I carried on driving, got blamed for resultant engine damage & warranty cancelled” cases.
Very tricky in SA where cars often develop engine issues in areas where the driver feels unsafe.

Being in the packaging industry myself there is a huge supply issue with paper & tissue products. Due to these issues we are seeing inconsistencies with regards to quality both in the corrugated & tissue paper industry. This should be communicated accordingly by manufacturers.
