Whichever party is in power is wedded to the status quo and argues for it by implying that it has simplicity. While we argue against it with more complex terms. We need to argue against it emotionally that the status quo JUST ISN'T FAIR. Simple arguements win IMO

Hi, Wendy! Last December 29.3% of the electorate voted for a Conservative. More than 70% refused to vote Conservative, either by engaging in the democratic process and voting for somebody else, or by abstaining from engagement at all.

#FPTP has out stayed its welcome. Time for it to go. Along with unwritten constitution- sort of works if power has integrity, truth etc. Opens up a massive can of worms when power has lies, banality, elitism, nationalism at its coreThanks. I could live with the 42% if that did not mean that governments felt they could do what they like - majoritarianism. FPTP is utterly undemocratic and both main parties are equally guilty of clinging to it
