This ambiguity is playing into the hands of the warhawks who have never wanted any kind of diplomacy, nonetheless a head of state level summit.
The whole summit was such a half-cocked thing, in terms of expectations and realities, that I'm having a hard time thinking it is worse than it was called off, TBH. But of course now the question of "where do we go from here," which never really went away, is even more hazy.

Based on the salivations of Bolton and Pompeo, I’m pretty sure where this will go is going@to be answered in the charred remains of countless millions of innocent North Korean, South Korean, and Japanese citizens. Everyone with the authority to push the button is insane.
