Skeuomorphic interfaces can be frustrating to use with a mouse (touch UI is actually better), but for the 60’s aesthetic, it might be worth it. DM me if you want to kick some concepts around. I did a bunch of that early in my career.
What would be really powerful someday is to run nukemap with a game engine, where you could simulate destroyed landmarks, smoke, & fallout. In Oregon last year we had massive wildfires and ash everywhere. I could imagine what fallout was like.
