…just putting this out there. I *can’t* be the first person to do such a useless calculation (right?), but, you know, if we wanted to call this “Thompson’s Number” I’d be totally ok with that.

As numbers get bigger, they take longer and longer to count. But my calculation does assume that the digits 0–9 appear equally often, on average, for all the numbers on the number line.
