When I substituted Russian for the French requirement in grad school, many laughed at me! ...Because Russian is much, much harder!

Oh, I have taken a few shortcuts! I would not really say I know Russian, not to the degree that "knowing" really ought to imply. I know enough to struggle through passages with a dictionary, but I have forgotten most of the (insanely complicated) grammar through lack of use.
Coding was just a pastime that, over a couple of decades, has transitioned into something more than that... but I DO try to read every document!
